Head of SACWD meets with Ambassador of Turkmenistan
Mahmood Shalooei, Head of the Society for the Appreciation of Cultural Works and Dignitaries (SACWD) met with Ahmet Gurbanov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Iran, at the SACWD Headquarters.
At the meeting, Shalooei emphasized the necessity of expanding cultural relations between the two countries of Iran and Turkmenistan, saying: "Since a century ago, the Society has taken remarkable measures in the area of culture including commemorating cultural dignitaries, publishing their works, and construction and restoration of mausoleums and historic sites across Iran."
He added: "The Society has also aimed at the recognition scientific, cultural, religious and literary elites at international levels and so far has organized joint programs with many neighboring countries. We hope that with the cooperation of the Embassy of Turkmenistan and the SACWD, joint programs in different cultural areas will soon be implemented between the two sides.”
While expressed readiness to cooperate with SACWD in implementing cultural programs and research projects, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Iran also said: “We consider the development of cultural collaboration between two friendly and neighboring countries of Iran and Turkmenistan as an opportunity to further strengthen relations between the two sides in a wide area.”
At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed their satisfaction at the negotiations made in the meeting and reiterated the importance of effective collaboration on areas of mutual interest.
