Iranian President`s message on the occasion of the commemoration of Hafez
In a message on the occasion of commemorating Hafez, Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi stated that the culture and literature of Iran has always been filled with the brilliance of high human thoughts and one of the peaks of this proud history is undoubtedly Shamsuddin Mohammad Hafez Shirazi, Lesan al-Ghayb, the unique pearl of culture and literature of Iran and the pride of all Persian speakers.
President's message is as follows:
Lesan al-Ghayb Hafez Shirazi is the unique pearl of Iranian culture and literature of this land and honor of all those who speak the sweet Persian language. His poems, which are all derived from noble human themes and authentic Islamic teachings, are among the most important cultural and civilizational symbols of Iran, and the people of culture and literature, all over the world, respect this precious poet.
Hafez's deep connection with the Qur'an and the use of the language of the Qur'an in his poems have made him a distinctive figure.
How beautifully the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution has said in praise of this noble poet that "Hafez is the brightest star of Persian culture. Until today, no poet has penetrated the depths and corners of the minds and hearts of our nation as much as Hafez”.
Since the content of his poetry is deeply connected with innate human values, it has a timeless dignity and status and can be informative and comprehensive in all ages and centuries, especially the present era.
On this day, I congratulate the culture-loving people of Iran and all those who are interested in Persian poetry and literature.
